In support of our mission, the Friends group undertakes projects that will enhance the experience of Park visitors. In general, the projects arise from needs and desires identified by visitors and Park personnel and that have no source of state funding. Projects range from a business center and audiovisual conference equipment at the Inn, to sandy beaches on the lake shore, to fairway yardage markers at the golf course. The Friends directly purchase many items for the Park (automatic external defibrillator, projector for conference rooms) and purchase materials for other projects that Park personnel then complete (picnic tables, concrete pads and swings).

An extremely generous donation from an anonymous donor has provided a majestic arch welcoming Park visitors. Design Team Sign Company designed, produced and installed the arch and also provided partial funding. First Utility District provided trenching from the fish weighing station to the arch.
Visitors are also thanked for visiting the Park.
The arch is lighted at night and visible from Highway 57. It will be beautiful when decorated for Christmas in the Park!
